These areas need to be masked before the powder coating process. Polyester tapes provide an ideal solution for this need.<\/p>\n<p>Polyester tapes are made with a polyester carrier and a silicone adhesive. Silicone is well suited for high heat applications like powder coating due to its resilience to extreme temperatures. Silicone also has a lower initial tack compared to acrylic and rubber adhesives, allowing for clean removal after high heat processes. Polyester tapes can withstand powder coating curing processes up to 425\u00b0F putting them in the category of high temperature masking tapes.<\/p>\n<h2>Types of Powdering Coating Polyester Tape\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p><b>Green polyester tape<\/b> is the preferred industry standard for powder coating masking tape.
